Program Note: Replicas (2024-2025) was composed with the original intention based on imposter syndrome. However, as the writing process continued, I began to reflect on what my musical inspirations were and how a vast majority were from my siblings and I seeing each other during semester breaks. Even though each movement doesn't have a direct designation to a sibling, the movements came from the time we have with each other and how it's shrinking dramatically. Being the oldest of three, my concept of following their example wasn't a natural thought, yet as we've all grown up, I've been proud of who they've become and followed them willingly.
